This is a Hot Wheels Drag Race Action set from 1967. Unlike the set released in the 2000’s, this is the original set from 1967, including the original Custom Ford T-Bird and Custom Chevrolet Camaro and the box that the set came in. I have owned this set since it was new in 1967. This item will be for sale on eBay beginning Nov. 8 2009 at 9:25 PM until Nov. 15 2009 at 9:25 PM. Included are:
• 30 feet of hot strip track
• The starter gate with tripper
• The finish gate with automatic flag
• 12 joiners (the purple plastic tabs)
• A Universal clamp
• A lane merger
• The two cars, the Custom Ford T-Bird and the Custom Chevrolet Camaro
Missing from the set (according to the list of items on the side of the box) are the 2 Hot Wheels collector buttons and the Hot Wheels Collector’s Catalog.
The box is in fair condition. On one end, one of the flaps is missing and one of the flaps is torn a bit. On the other end the flaps have been taped shut with masking tape.
The cars are scratched from much use, but otherwise are undamaged and roll well, although the Camaro veers to the left a bit.
The track is very clean and undamaged, and appears to be nearly new!
